Steve, aged 46 is qualified in Electrical and Electronic engineering.
First licensed in 1974, he has been active on the HF bands, almost exclusively on CW.
After achieving CW DXCC Honor roll #1 in 1993, he has concentrated on QRP DXing and contesting using home built gear.
DXpedition experience started with OF0MA, Market reef in 1987, followed by T31T, ZK3CW and VK9ML, Mellish reef and ZL7C in October 2002 and most recently a solo trip to Stewart Island (OC-203) as ZL4/G4EDG in January 2003, along with several solo homebrew QRP DXpeditions to various Greek islands.
He has also operated as KH8/G4EDG, 5W0ST, VK4ARC and 9H3ZC.
